It started with a label too long to read. Every jar on the shelf listed twenty-odd ingredients, and not one of them told you what it was actually for.
So we started making our own — short lists, made slowly, and nothing added to make a number on the back of a jar look impressive. What we refuse to do turned out to matter as much as what we put in.
Everything is still mixed, filled and labelled by hand in Ahmedabad, two hundred jars at a time.
